Celebrate Everyday

What do you have to celebrate? That is the question that you can ask yourself every day waking up and during the day. If you don’t have a reason to create one. If you love the expectation, set a time in the future for your celebration and do it.

It does not need to be all balloons all the time. You can treat yourself to something you love you can just take a moment for yourself. Anything how big or small to stop and celebrate (yes dancing alone in the elevator is a good option). The point is to take the time to enjoy life (mmmm, the smell of fresh-baked cookies).

We celebrate our birthdays and Holidays for no other reason than we do. So why not celebrate life each day and all the small and big things that happen to us. This is gratefulness on steroids. If you have some background in positive psychology you are probably doing your thankful list and journalist. Now it’s time to put that into practice and really step it up. Celebrate life and all that is in it.

If you need more reasons to celebrate I can name a few for you. If you are reading this you know how to read (how incredible and fantastic is that), you are privileged by life by having a computer and the internet (wow), you have time to read this (yeahhh that is the sweet spot), you have clothes (I hope so) or you are comfy enough with your body to be naked (again reason to celebrate), you are on a rock in space going 110 million meters per hour around the sun (wow again), you won the race for life by being here you are one of millions of swimmers that got to the egg and fertilized it (incredible and cool), you have a conscience of being here. If that is not enough our civilization invented chocolate (I know we did other stuff but come on chocolate), we fly in the sky in big planes (the moon and soon mars), and other inventions like the car, the bicycle, books, paper and one of my favorite running water (the shower is linked to that).

So wake up, smell the coffee and start to get amazed by everything that you see and experience. Celebrate everyday rain or shine that you are alive and that you can celebrate the small and the big things in life.
