How to create S3 Bucket

What is an Amazon S3? Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3) is an object storage service that offers industry-leading scalability, data availability, security, and performance.

2. Roots user Account

Once you logged into AWS using your Root User, in the search bar, search for the “IAM” next click on “IAM” -this will direct you to the Mange access resource link.

Next step you will navigate to IAM Dashboard, click “Users” on the left-hand side. Under the access management tab, select “add users”.

This step will take you to set up your new user:

Next step: You will one make sure the proper AWS Access types are selected. Once those selection are made you will need to give it “Permissions”.

In order for the new test-user to work, we will need to grant them S3 full access. We will select “Attach Existing polices directly, make sure to click on AmazonS3FullAccess.

Next step you will click Review.

Click “Create user”

It is highly Recommended down your Account ID, and the CSV file as well.

Next step we will log out of our Root User account, and log by back in using the new account we created for the IAM user. once we login as test will on the search bar, we will search for “S3”.

Next, step get the prompt to create a “bucket” Next, step name the bucket. It’s highly suggested to name our S3 bucket according to Amzon bucket naming rules the name you choose will be add to the list.

Now we are all done, you have successfully created a bucket.
