To The Girl Who is Trying to Love Herself.

Honestly I just want you to know that I have been there too, we have been in your shoes. Fear wrapped around us like our second skin. I know how you are feeling, trying too hard to rectify your faults, trying to make every end a better one. Perhaps you feel left out, you feel like you don’t belong here anymore. This is for you. I want you to know that self love isn’t easy.

Self love isn’t just about taking yourself to have your favourite pizza or buy yourself expensive gifts. Self love isn’t about looking pretty from the outside.

It’s about loving your body no matter what your size is. I know sometimes you feel insecure about your looks, but trust me, you’re beautiful. The way your eyes light up when you’re talking about all the things you love is enough to say that you’re truly beautiful. I know you’re tired of picking up your pieces.

This is a reminder to you that things will only get better if you work on them. You don’t have to chase love, you don’t have to cry your eyes out to earn love. You don’t have to stop being yourself to be someone else’s. Forgive yourself for being too hard on yourself, for not being able to raise your voice when you knew you deserved better. Understand that you’re not ordinary, that you’re not just feeble or weak. You have to understand and remind yourself that you’re strong, that you’re fierce, that it doesn’t matter what kind of hurdles you’ll ever face, you’ll always make through it. Whether it’s your own demons or hell someone else is trying to put you through.
