Dogs can Help People with Mental and Physical Health

If you have ever heard the term “service dog,” then you probably know that service dogs help people in many ways; they can help people with mental health problems, they can help people get around, and even just give people comfort. Some service dogs are used for people with mental health problems. Many veterans come home scarred and traumatized from events in war and are diagnosed with P.T.S.D. (post traumatic stress disorder). In many cases people with P.T.S.D will get a service dog. Service dogs can give people lots of comfort and keep them relaxed when they have panic attacks. Dogs can also be used for people with physical disabilities, deaf and blind people will commonly have service dogs in their lives to help them get around and be more in touch with the world in many different ways. Without service dogs many people would have a lot of problems in life, which is why it is a great thing that service dogs are around.
