Leadership Interview

The leader I interviewed was Kaihua Zhang, a UNL student majored in biological science. He told me he was leading a team research in Drosophila melanogaster, also known as fruit fly. I select him to interview because he told me his team had meet several difficults and he finally solved them and got a good result. The request of his research was to analyze the dominant and recessive gene of fruit fly, by observed the fruit flies and compared the larvas with their parents.

There are four members in his team, and they had to do experiments and observations in laboratory every week. Most of the time his team members met together in lab. But they also contact each other using an application called “GroupMe”, and writing papers together using “Google Doc”. He said “GrooupMe” let him connect with team members at any time and affirm evertyone are doing their jobs.
